UTYYC (University of Toronto Yo-Yo Club) is founded by a group of UofT students and alumni in June 2011 in their efforts to promote yoyoing in UofT campuses.
utoronto.caMeetings are held in Bahen Centre (BA) in the lobby once every two weeks, usually on Sunday afternoons. Join our Facebook group to receive announcements and reminders!
The meetings are very informal, where we simply hang out and throw yoyos. Those who are interested are free to simply show up. Here is a video and a photostream of what meetings typically look like.
UTYYC shares the same meeting schedule and meets together with YoYoToronto (http://www.yoyotoronto.com), a yoyo club for the Greater Toronto Area. UTYYC works very closely with YoYoToronto, as all the executive members are also regulars there. YoYoToronto has a discussion forum for news and communication.Apart from having fun among club members, part of the purpose of this club is to reach out and share the passion of yoyoing with others. UTYYC may occasionally be invited to do demonstrations and performances, and these will be done by the performance team members. If you would like to share you skills and educate others about yoyoing, please let us know!
Membership on the performance team is voluntary. You do not have to be on the team to be a club member.
Whether you are a beginner or a returning expert since way-back-when, we recommend having a look at this beginner's guide. It contains very useful information about state-of-the-art yoyoing. Feel free to join the YoYoToronto forum or email us with any questions!
